Chi tensed a little when he said he couldn't get her off his mind. She had forgotten about him so many times, and now she felt so bad about it. She had missed him, but....as time went on Chi had just found it harder and harder to remember him, as much as she had wanted to...it just got harder. Chi felt awful for that. Her memory couldn't have been that bad. Suddenly she caught herself crying harder again. "I missed you too," She whimpered.

Negi blinked "Hey now, why ya crying a river?" He asked, looking down at her "Come on I know a reunion should be emotional, but you're going a bit overboard, dont ya think?" he asked

"Alright time to get you drunk," Carmen said, pulling her away and towards the bar. "Swear you had to be a teacher," She grumbled, forcing her to sit down as she whipped her face. Looked like some things never changed.

"Carmen I've got classes in the morning," She said trying to push away the beer that was put before her. "Drink it or I'll lock you out of the appartment," Carmen threatened. Chi cocked an eyebrow at her. "You wouldn't...." She said. Carmen raised an eyebrow. Chi gave in an started drinking the beer.

Negi just laughed "So even now ya three are living together? Wow, buncha wierdos" he said, laughing, drinking his beer. It just kept like that, idle chatter and drinking of a lot of alcohol.

"Ugh, ok, that's it, you're going home," Chi said pulling the half empty glass out of Carmen's hand. She blabbered something incoherent. Chi sweat dropped. "You, home, now," She said, pulling Carmen and Miau away. "Mind giving me a hand with these two?" Chi asked.

Negi nodded "Sure" he said, getting out of his seat "Whoa whoa" He stumbeled a bit "Heh...oops" he said, he was a bit drunk aswell, though not nearly as much as those two.

Negi picked up Carmen on his back, carrying her, walking after Chi "Hey, I'm not a shameful drunk" he said "I keep my sane mind thank you"

"Sure sure I -" Chi looked out over the horizon, dark smoke raising to the sky. A fire truck went rushing past them. "Our apartment's in that direction," She said, racing down the street.

Chi Came to a stop in front of her apartment. Flames were leaping out of the windows fire man trying to hook the hose up to the fire hydrant. "Get back," Chi urged, pushing them away until she could almost touch the flames. She held her hands above her and with a small glow the fire started pulling away from the house and wrapping around her before they burst out one last time and vanished. Her powers seemed to have gotten much stronger.

"Well shit I haven't seen that in years," Miau said, suddenly sober and oddly mature. She put her hands on her hips and looked up at the strange writing that was left in the charred remains of the building. "Penance shall be paid, you should not have returned," Miau translated. "Well damnit they just had to use our house for your message..."
