Negi was downing drinks like a maniac "Oi slow down, you'll get sick" Akio said "Im already sick pal." He said, downing his 20th drink. "So whats up between you and that girl with the funny hat?"Akio asked 'Eh? Who? Chi? Nothing, why the question?" he asked, downing another drink "Its just odd...you hate work of any and all kind...but you seem to dig this teacher gig...that and you seem to go out of you're way to help that one" He said "Bah, she's just a hopeless case, I feel sorry for her is all." He stated. "You never feel sorry for anyone." Akio said "Bah." That was Negi's only reply.

"Dude, wow," Carmen said, nudging her way to the front of the crowd that was formed. Someone had managed to blow a hole clean in the side of the apartment building that was next to the Arcade. "Wow, how'd that happen?" Chi asked. "Big boom, duh," Was Miau's response.

Negi and Akio were walking back to their apartment , before they saw that massive hole "...Duuuude....please tell me I got the adress wrong and thats not our apartment...." he said "Thats not our apartment." Akio said, Negi sweat dropped "That didn't help" he said. It was indeed their apartment.

The police were pushing people aside as they tried to get an ambulance through. "An Ambulance..that means someone must've gotten hurt pretty bad," Chi said over Miau's mimicking of the siren. Carmen stood on her tips toes to try to catch a glimpse of the person coming out. "Damnit, too short, miau?" She asked, but she was too damn distracted by the noise.

Carmen finally got a glimpse and turned around, covering her mouth. "Holy shit," She gurgled. "What?" Chi asked, Trying to get a better look. Carmen tried to push her down so she wouldn't see the dismembered body. "It's Gracia, from 4th period," She said. Carmen was unsuccessful, and Chi saw it. Her eyes widened and she turned away immediately, wishing she hadn't tried to see.

Negi kept pushing till he got to the greusome sight "....Holy hell on a-GRACIA!!" He reconised the girl, she was one of his students, and for some reason he feeled compelled to do something to help. He walked over to the body, he was obstructed by two police officers. But one wind spell later, and they were hanging upside down on a street light.
Negi got down on his knees near the top half of the body "....." he seemed to be kinda reluctant "Please dont let me screw up..." he muttered, and grabbed the cloth on his right hand.
"Idiot..." Akio muttered, watching intensly.
Negi took the glove off his hand, and a very bright light appeared all over the area, the source of it being his hand. He was holding it right above the girls body. Though when at first it caused the wind to pick up to a very harsh degree, it then calmed down, and there was only a gentle upwards warm breeze. It reached about a 1 mile radius, and anyone that was in that radius would feel like they just jumped into a hotspring that was the perfect temperature.
The heavenly light was getting brighter, and the dismembered body was tarting to move, connect itself back together, markings appearing on the ground. After about two minutes, Negi quickly put the glove back on, and the light, and the breeze faded. But there was one big difference, the girl, was in once piece, and alive.

Chi had her eyes locked on the scene for the entirty of the show, though Carmen seemed to have her attention elsewhere. "I can't believe he did that," Chi muttered, absolutely amazed. Carmen elbowed Miau who had been staring at the pretty light. "Hey, dumb ass," She whispered harshly. "What do you make off that," She said, pointing to something above the blast wall. One the wall was a burn mark, left by flames that had just gone out. It wasn't a normal burn, but spiraled and spun, leaving introcit odd marks in it's wake. "Those who have defied us have sinned against our name. Grievances shall be paid." Miau read, probably the only one in the city who knew that language. Carmen frowned. "I don't like the sounds of that," She muttered.

Negi was holding his right hand, clenching it into a tight fist. Akio pushed past the crowd, helped Negi up, and quickly hightailed it out of there, disapearing in a nearby alley way.

"Chi, lets go," Carmen said, tugging at her. Chi watched Negi and his brother vanished. "What?" She asked. Carmen tugged harder. "It's not safe here," She said, pulling her away. "Clap clap," Miau said, and clapped her hands twice, the message on the wall disinigrating, but everyone was too focused on the resurrected girl to see it.

Negi and Akio were at the schools gates "The hell were you thinking? You could have turned everyone there into bullfrogs!" Akio whispered harshly "I couldn't just let the kid die...sure she's an airhead, but she's also my student...I feel some sort of responsability..." Negi said. Akio sighed "You are enjoyig this job of yours WAY too much, did you forget you're own rules? Only help those who help THEMSELVES."

"Come on, explain," Chi urged as they walked to the rooms. Carmen seemed to be making sure they weren't seen. Once in the room the door was locked and the windows closed. Miau even did a spell to lock sounds out of the room. "Gracia and her family are in some deep shit, deep shit we don't want to get involved in. No matter what happens do NOT confront her about what happened," Carmen said. "Why?" Asked Chi. "Miau, you've met these people, why don't you explain," She said. Miau actually seemed to be paying attention at this point.
"The explosions and flaming messages are a tag for the Court of Miracles. The court is a little more then just a gang, or even a mob, they're an entire underground organization that is said to have complete control over all of Hisy Gean and they're politics. They're more then strict, and they go by this crazy set of rules that were supposedly divined to them by their gods. Relegious nut cases to a whole new level. Normally they do things quite, but with that public bombing, something bigs going down," Miau explained.

Negi and Akio found themselves an apartment a few hours later. Though Negi couldn't sleep the entire night, he had this sinking feeling that by saving that girl, he only signed himself it to be blown up next, that or he was now in deep shit aswell. Ether way, he didn't sleep at all, so the next day at School he was somewhat half asleep.
