"Team leader force of habit," She said, dropping on the ground. She sighed looking over at him. "You don't seem to get it, I'm trying to get you OUT of her, OUUUT," She said, motioning towards the exit of the city and hoping like a little kid who needed to use the restroom. "Try to blast your way through and you're not going to get anywhere. This isn't Time Crisis at the arcade, five buck shots will not do you much good," She said.
She hopped on one foot, stretching a little as she looked around. She had to find the clearest route back to where her bike was parked. Twisting and weaving through the allies of a city she didn't know was stupid. "Triger happy high schooler," She grumbled. No wonder everyone was so worried about today's youth. They were right. Ollie really couldn't wait anymore, she just took off running towards the west exit of the city.

The man just sighed "Obnoxious twerp..." he muttered, and then just started walking. Lucky for him, he knew this city like the back of his hand, so he knew all the back alleys short-cuts and escape routes...escape routes from what? The cops of course. After being involved with gangs, you kinda make yourself a few escape routes through buildings, rooftops and alley ways.
And suprisingly enough, he had avoided any and all zombies, and he even found a dead police man who wasnt a zombie, not yet at least. He very conviniently had an M9 pistol, and two full clips of ammo right on his belt "Paydirt." he muttered, looting the corpse. Taking the pistol aswell, putting it on the inside of his shirt. Never know when it might come in handy.
He ended up at the edge of the city. Standing near the highway. He sighed though when he saw its state. It was filled with abandoned cars, and of course, zombies. And the woods were probably no safer "Things just cant go my way, can they."

Though there was the sound of an engine coming towards him, and none the less there was the 'obnoxious twerp' speeding towards him on a pretty dirty motor cycle. Ollie had of course jacked it when the city she had lived in went to hell. She had a gut feeling she would need it, and of course at the time no one was paying attention to their stuff. Everyone was just loosing their minds trying to get out. Ollie had back hints on this entire thing though, so she was a little more prepared for this then the rest.
She came to a stop in front of the boy, lifting the visor of the helmet. "Get on," She said, looking over her shoulder, ready to get out of her. She was done with this city, she just wanted to get home and have to deal with normal assholes, not the undead kind.

"...." He so wanted to say that he was faster than her, and he took the slow way. But he figured that would get him left here, and he wasnt that much of an asshole to look a gifthorse in the mouth. He got on the back of the bike, holding into the seat.
"You do know that the entire freeway is blocked off...this bike aint a tank, how are you planning to get across?" he asked, quite pesimistic about the situation. Sure, any moble vehicle is a blessing in this hell hole, but when theres no open road to drive it on, its really useless, isint it?

"I got here didn't I?" She asked, turning around and coming back where she had come from. She took a different exit ramp, getting onto a free way that was less crowded then the other one, though she was still forced to curve and turn around piled up cars and even a tank that had been abandoned by the military. The highway definiately helped with the apperance that the world had been deserted. It looked like not a sol but them had lived, even though that was far true. There were still hundreds of thousands of survivors, scattered in different area. True over night 2/3 of the countries population had fried, but there were people.
"We're going to be driving for a while!" She shouted back at him once they had hit open high way and she could get up some speed. "The city we're going to is a good 40 miles away!" She shouted, making it seem odd that she would come all the way looking for survivors and only have a bike to get back on.

He stayed quiet, and then leaned forward "You werent expecting to find many survivors, were you?" He yelled, so she could hear him over the helmet. It indeed was strange that she came that far, and only on a bike that could only support two, maybe three people. But hey, he wasnt complaining.
He just sat there, not really carying to start a conversation. It was actualy refreshing to be out of that city. He had been walking through that hell hole for weeks now, scavenging for food and medical suplies to keep himself alive. Despite his additude. He was thankful, though hell would freeze over and then spew kittens from volcanos before he'd openly say that.

"Used to bring a bus and a team with me, but survivors that are saveable are getting fewer and fewer, normally they're too infected to get out. Last two places I went didn't have any survivors, I wasn't hopping for anyone this time!" She answered, speeding down the highway. Since he didn't say anything, she didn't say anything, and just kept moving
After almost an hour they started to approach the remains of another city. The only thing about this one there was not a single zombie in sight. Now he city itself was failing, except for a few, very nice looking sky scrapers at the center, where as the rest looked like it was failing. "Welcome to the Hive," She said over her shouler.

"You sound like a bad horror movie actor." he said, looking at the scy scrapers "....why am I getting a feeling that a giant catastrophy will happen here really soon?" he asked, shaking his head, getting a very bad feeling about this place. He looked around. The city looked like shit, but amazingly enough there wasnt a single rotting walking corpse in sight. It felt almost like it was wrong to not have those felshbags around.
He sighed, relaxing a bit. He had gotten so used in being always on guard and only going to sleep in places where a tank would be needed to get into, but aside from the feeling of an impending catastrophy, he felt like he could relax here.

Everything seemed slumish where she was going. Buildings were falling down, the streets were dirty and littered with trash (though none of it was bodies) and a few of the people looked quite strange, sporting crazy colored hair or skin, or sometimes even looking like animals. There were quite a few mutations, as Ollie had said, but everyone was alright, no one dying because of it.
Ollie stopped the bike in front of an old department store. "Zales, for all your comfort needs" It read. How Ironic. Ollie put down the kick stand and hopped off, taking off the helmet. "Home sweet home," She said. As she shut off a motor a young man who seemed to literally glow came out of the store. "Hey! Ollie, we thought you had become lunch meat," He said with a grin. "Yah yah shut yer face gadget," She said, throwing her helmet at him.

The man climbed off the bike, and was now just staring right at the guy. "......" It was sort of a vacant stare, like his mind was dead and he was gonna fall over and die. He shook his head, snapping back into reality "...What the hell are you?" he asked, grabbing his handgun, just incase. Things that looked weird never were good, and this guy was GLOWING...was he a fire bomb? Maybe shooting him would set him off?
he still had the shotgun tucked behind the belt, and as he looked around at the weird other people, he noticed he was the only one obviously carrying weaponry.

"Whoa! Put it away!" Gadget said, holding his hands up in defense. "Hey, hey! Don't point that at someone you'll accidentally fire it!" Ollie shouted at him, pushing his hand away from the gun. "Look I told you. A lot of people around here have mutations thanks to the power plants exploding," Ollie explained, Gadget having taken a few steps back. "Go around with guns in the open who knows what might happen to you, some people can do some freaky shit here, right Ollie?" He asked with a sort of grin as he looked over to her. "Shut up Gadget," She said, sticking her tongue out at him.
"You gotta take it easy, no one here is gonna try to eat your face, steal your wallet maybe, but not eat you," She assured. "Look when was the last time you actually ate? We got a girl in here, Kimi, who's a pretty good cook," Ollie said.

He just sighed, he remembered what she said about people being mutated, but still having their sanity...but that didnt mean he could be freaked out by a WALKING NIGHTLIGHT. Though he glared at the nightlight "Don't try me. I'll blow your glowing brains out." He snapped, not taking well to the comment that sorta sounded like a threat.
He sighed, then looked at Ollie "...I don't know, I've been scavenging what I could get from convienience stores and malls. Though for the last two days I've been working on meds and herbs." he said, looking up, as if trying to remember what he was doing a few days ago.

"Yeah, Gadget go tell Kimi to make sure there's enough food for an extra person," She said. He clicked his heels and saluted. "Ma`am yes ma'am!" He shouted, just as obnoxiously as he could. Ollie tried to slap him upside the head, but he ducked and disappeared into the run down department store they called their home.
"Come on in, we'll get you some water and some clean clothes," She said, heading inside. The store had been scrounged of most of it's good thanks to looting at the first chaos. There were store shelves and racks of curtains separated different parts of the store floor into little rooms. Surprisingly enough there were actually a few kids running around on the other side of the store. And none the less, a kitchen, and a shower that was hap-hazardly set up in the middle of the store (again with curtains to protect privacy) with tubes running to where the sprinklers used to be. "Home sweet home, probably the best place around her," She said.

"The hotel back in that city was better." he said, aperantly not knowing what 'manners' were. True the hotel WAS better. But problem was it didnt have any food. And one cant live on water alone. And then there was the fact that there were probably zombies in the basement or something.
He looked around, noticing the kids. And already his face took on a very annoyed expresion "How the hell did they survive..." He muttered, obviously not too fond of kids. Infact so many people being here was making him feel more and more like he was gonna die here. Becouse as he saw it, it was every man for himself. Help another person and you're just making the food and water dissapear faster, and increasing your chances of dieing a slow, horrible death.

"Yeah you would've gotten eaten there after a few more days with that attitude," She said, walking over to the 'family room' which was the remnants of of a few old couches and chairs that were pulled from the area's of the store. Again there was a kid there too, one very self contained, helping herself to a hand held video game. "Hey, Mute, go play with the others," She said, shooing her away. The girl of about thirteen stood up, looked at Ollie, and patted the over sized sweat shirt that she wore as a dress and padded off down the store.
"Hell if I know how they survived, but Kimi over there is a nurturer. She likes kids," She said, nodding over to a girl who was working in the 'kitchen'. The young woman with short blond hair, wearing rags of a dress just like the rest of them. "Besides, if we have kids under our care we get extra supplies when they're handed out," She said.
