Negi just helped the party as much as he could. He sometimes amused people with a few simple, but funny or impressive magic tricks, a few magic fireworks, and a few magic pranks on the DJ.

When the cake came out it was obvious that Carmen had gotten the best cake possible. After the Cake people started handing Chi presents. After she had opened them and thanked everyone Miau started setting off fireworks, probably more for her fun then Chi's.

Chi looked at it. She had messed with it when she was sick, but she had never turned it over. When she did now she ran her hand over each delicate letter. "I..." Her words lodged in her throat as she looked at it. She gripped it in her hand and then grabbed his hand, pulling him away from the part again. When they were a distance away Chi looked up at him. "Th-thank you," She said softly.

Negi blinked, suprised when he started getting dragegd away "W-whoa hey! Wait sorry if you hate it but could ya at least yell at me after the parties done?" He asked, then blinked, even more confused now "Ehh...you're...welcome?" He asked "...Why did you need to drag me all the way here to thank me?" He asked

She fiddled with it in her hands. This was the time, her last chance. She had to tell him now. "Negi...N-Negi I....I...." Her words kept catching in her throat. "Negi I love you," She forced out.

And again, a blink, confusion, and then he sighed "Huh...didin't expect this turn of events" He said, crossing his arms, thinking "...Well, guess It can't be helped" he said, then put his hands on her shoulders, and one second later. Kiss. His lips pressed gently against hers.

Chi was surprised, not expecting that. She didn't just stand there like an idiot though, she kissed back.
