"I like that ribbon," She said. "I want it back," She said softly. No magic, powers, nothing special, just emotional importance.

Negi just smiled "Heh, you know, you're adorable when you cry" He said, and wrapped his arms around her, hugging her tightly.

Chi wrapped her arms around his waist, crying into his chest. She didn't want him to leave.

Negi just held her like that, letting her cry. Truth be told he had to keep himself from crying aswell "Sheesh...stop it will yah...yer making me tear up..." He muttered, he didn't want to leave, he'd give up all his abilities if he could stay, but it was ether leaving or having Chi drop dead becouse of him, and that was something he just couldnt stomach.

Chi's tears soon dried and she just stayed the way she was, holding him tightly, like if she let go of him, he'd just dissolve into the air before her.

Negi just continued to hold her, he'd stay there the entire day if he had to. He looked at the sea infront of them, he sun was starting to rise out of the ocean

"Yo Chi, stop whatever the hell yer doin an come on!" Carmen shouted, her words slurred by drunkenness. "Miau's passed out on the sand and the tides coming up, help me get her inside!" She called, waving her over. Chi squeezed a little tighter, then let go. She looked up at him and whipped her cheeks on her arm before going over to help Carmen. "Good bye," She muttered.

Negi nooded "Goodbye..." He said, and walked off. He went to the hotel, he had left his bag at the entrance, not at his room. He took out he card that was the key to his room, just threw it on the ground, picked up his bag, and left, dissapearing from sight.

Chi never told Carmen and Miau what had happened that night. They had asked where the hell Negi had gone when they had a new teacher next semester, but Chi just played dumb with the rest of them. Carmen had also asked where in the world Chi had gotten the crazy Necklace. She said she had found it in the sand, and had liked it a lot. Carmen had never bought that, since she for the 3 years they had been in High school together after that seen her take it off. She had gotten her hands on it once, when the chain broke and had scene Chi's name engraved in the back. She had inferred the rest from there, but had never said anything to Chi. She had seemed a little off since the night of her party, and even Carmen was smart enough to keep from going into such a possibly personal issue, though the rumors did spread.
As for Chi her power had exploded in the next few years of school. With her magical power finally catching up to her mental ones, it was absolutely no problem for her to breeze through school. She had been offered acceptance into Ikimore University at 16, on a free ride. No paying for it what so ever. Chi had taken it, and moved out of the school, and Miau and Carmen had followed her, living in an apartment with her, even though the two continued High school until graduation.
After a gang war that was known all over the world for it's gruesome and horrible out come. Miau's father died in those wars, and after her raging out burst of anguish that had ended those wars Miau had taken over her fathers family, and despite the goofy out look she gave, she was one of the most power and feared leaders the Ting family had seen in centuries. It was reported on world wide news how the crime rates had oddly vanished against innocents in the city.
Carmen had grown into bigger and better things then simple Yanki acts. She had stuck with Miau and become her right hand body guard, and had gotten a name for herself in the wars that almost tore the city apart.
At the beginning of the fourth year since Negi's absence, Chi had graduated college, and became the second youngest teacher to ever teach at Ikimore Academy, though Chi was human and she aged, and with her aged her memories and promises, and the only thing that tied her to Negi at this point was his old class room, and the Medallion she still refused to ever take off, even if it was just because it had become nothing but a paranoid habit.

Negi had just dissapeared from the surounding area after that day, he had to wait four years untill he could see Chi again, so he decided to do what he always does, just walk where ever his feet take him. Though he still kept his smartalick lady killer additude, he had never touched another girl after he had left Chi. As the years passed he had traveled by himself, without his brother, who had stayed in the city and started his Cafe Carrer, rather liking the quite life.
He had heared about the famous war that happened, and when he saw the headline in the newspaper he nearly flipped out and ran back to the city to check if Chi was safe, though he somehow managed to hold himself back.
As he aged he didn't change in phisical appearance all that much, maybe he looked a bit more mature, but, he got a lot more talented with his magic, he had actualy gained full control over half of his powers, though he still couldnt fix that god forsaken curse that was seeping from him, threatening to kill everyone around him.
He had also heard news about a 'very young female, human magic teacher' teaching at the Academy. "Huh...following in my footsteps huh...yah stalker..." he muttered to himself when he heard that rumor.
Negi traveled far and wide, covering at least half of the planet, metting a lot of new people, and making a lot of new enemies. His tongue just never failed to say the wrong thing to the wrong person.
Though Despite all that, despite everything he saw and experianced in his travels, one thing never left his mind "Just three more years....just two more years....one more...." He muttered to himself every time the four seasons passed, he had always kept the ribbon from her with him, it had gotten tared, charred and burned thanks to his many encounters with unfriendly faces, but he always managed to keep it clean and in one piece "Oh man...."
Now four years later, he stood at the gates of the city he had left so long ago. He took a deep breath "Haah....yep...Im at the right palce..." he muttered to himself, walking into the city, a sportsbag hung over his shoulder. This city was he place where he had spent the longest, and the happiest time in his life, so all the fammiliar buildings and streets were brimming with nostalgia as he walked through the empty streets at night.

Carmen and Miau didn't changed a bit in appearance or attitude. Miau even insisted in wearing her uniform, and had re-entered school, starting from the very beginning, and Carmen constantly laughed at her for it. That night Carmen and Miau had dragged Chi away from grading papers and out to a bar for the night. Chi's memories had blurred and she had long since forgotten the true date that Negi had left. She barely remembered the right year, despite how eventful it was. She honestly didn't expect him to come back anymore. She just, thought of it as a nice thing to think about, just a dream.
That was what she had been thinking about as she drank the beer that Carmen had made the bar tender slam down in front of her. Carmen was yapping away about god knows what and Miau was flirting with the guy closest to her. "Ahhh same old same old," She muttered, sweat dropping and pushing another beer over to Carmen, hoping it would occupy her enough to shut her up for once.
Chi had changed in appearance quiet a lot. She had kept her hair long, but she had actually managed to develop, and had the body of a woman, though her face was still a tad childish. Her taste in clothing hadn't changed, well...Miau's taste in her clothing. To that day the girl still ran out and dragged her along to pay dress up in the nicest stores in the city. Chi didn't mind, she hadn't paid for a piece of clothing in years.
"Heeeey," Carmen grinned, looping her arm over Chi's shoulder. "looks like the guy Miau snagged this time has a brother, go talk to him!" She insisted. "Your drunk," Chi stated flatly. "Come on come on!!!! Guys are good for a girls soul," She said, nudging Chi off the bar stool. "Hey! Carmen! Quit it," She said. Carmen just laughed.

Negi was just casualy walking around, taking in the familiar sights. He stopped at the school gates, looking at the Academy "...." he sighed, this was where it all started "Who would have thought....that getting a job here would turn out the way it did..." He muttered, and continued walking.
The first place he found himself a was his brothers Cafe, and he managed to find him right at closing time "Oiiii!" He called "Heh, well you havent changd a bit, still short as ever" He said, teasing his little brother "Bite me and burn in a hole Negi." Akio answered "Couldn't you get a brain while you were away?" He asked "Sheesh, did the Cafe eat you're sense of humor?" He whined, Akio just sighed "Come on, lets hit the bar, my treat" he said, Negi just grinned "Heh, thats what I came here for" he said, following him.
Akio lead Negi into the nearest bar, and the two Immidietly sat down at the bar on the stools. Negi wasted no time ordering the most expensive alcohol there was, chugging it "Haaaah...man, forgot how good it was to bleed you dry" Negi said, grinning. Akio let out a tired sigh "When will I be rid of you..." he muttered, though his face held a subtle smile, enjoying this routene outage with his brother.

When Carmen had finally started a fight with one of the people int he bar the three were kicked out. "Alright lets go home, I have classes tomorrow," Chi said, never having lost her sense of having to do what was needed to keep in class. "I'd say the same for you Miau...but for the love of why did you enroll in school again?" She asked. "I think the uniforms are adorable!" Miau squeeled. "TO THE NEXT BAR!" Carmen hollered, parading to the next bar. "Oh for the love of god," Chi grumbled, hanging her head. She would've left the two if she didn't feel like leaving them alone would make them hurt someone.
Carmen and Miau stormed up to the bar, ordering drinks as loud as possible, and do to the utter drunkenness, they didn't realize the brothers to their right. Chi didn't go any farther then the table in the corner near the exit, since they were getting annoying. She just sighed, sipping on a glass of water. Even though Carmen and Miau would be noticed in a second, Chi didn't exactly look like she used to.
