Chi nodded. "Yes I am," She said, turning back to face the pond. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, letting it out slowly. She concentrated again, focusing on nothing but freezing the water. She didn't care about how long it took, or how tired she got. She just wanted to freeze the water.

Negi sighed, and laid donw on his stomach. He was gonna watch her the whole time, he couldn't just leave her here. He was watching the spot she was trying to freeze.

The song had long past set and she had lost all track of time. The water in front of her had gotten a thin sheet on it, only two or so inches thick, but it was much thicker then last time. The water stopped moving though her hands stayed where they were. Her breathing grew shallow and slow. She actually fell asleep where she was sitting. She fell to the side, her head splashing into the water. She immediately woke up with a jolt. She just couldn't stay dry. "Did I do it?" She asked, drying her face with her sleeve.

Negi yawned, and looked at the ice "...." he reached for it, and picked it up out of the water "Two inches thick...five inches wide....Id say for one day, thats pretty good, especialy since you went from one quarter of an inch thick and half an inch width"

Chi nodded and yawned. "Ok, then I'm going to take a small break, just close my eyes for a few minutes," She muttered, laying down in the grass.

Negi sighed, looking up at the sky "..." he then silently stood up, and picked Chi up gently, and started carrying her back to campus, throug the forest.

"You've practiced enough Chi, don't push youreself too hard" He said "You did real good today, and think, you went from not being able to do anything at all, to freezing over 5 inches of rippling water with a two inch thick layer of ice" he said "Now just get some sleep"

Negi just laughed, and kept on walking. He got to her door, and knocked on the door with his foot. He guessed that Carmen and Miau weren't exactly the type to go to sleep early.
