All the color seemed to drain from Chi's face. That was exactly the type of thing she didn't want to have to do. The rest of the class seemed a little unnerved, other then Alex and Carmen. Alex was staring out the window, uncaring because she was cocky. Miau was balancing a pencil on her nose, well, because she was a dumb ass.

Negi looked around the class "You all know this schools standars right?" he asked "You fail one class, and youre out of the school" he said "And dont think a bribe from youre rich mommy and daddy will help, if so much as one teacher does not agree to let the student retake the class, you're not gonna be accepted back in." he said, somehow he turned from a kind of nice, funny teacher. Into a real Grade A bastard.
"The only advice I have for you, is work on you're fire spells." he said. Just then the bell rang "Class Dissmiss."

"Come on Chicka, lets go get some lunch,"Carmen said. Chi nodded, nervously grabbing her bag. She really didn't like the way that sounded. She should've transfered out when she had the chance. "Ahhh don't freak Chi," Miau said, patting her back hard enough she lost her balance. "We'll BS it like we do every year," She said.

"You can't exactly BS it." He said, standing behind the group "Its not a written Test. You'll have to do the magic, and if you do it too poorly, you're failed, and out of the school." he said "I think it would be a good idea even for you to try and get some work done miss Mafia boss daughter" He said, talking to Miau. "Becouse even you're dad wont get you out of this one, he's not the only one with strong connections." he said, and walked past them, and from the sound of his voice and the look on his face, he ment business.

"I didn't know your dad bribed?" Carmen said cocking her eye brow. Miau shrugged. "I didn't think he did, it's below his moral code," She responded. "...Your dad kills people and bribing is bellow his standards?" Carmen asked. Miau grinned and nodded.

Negi went to the principals office, he jumped ahead of himself a bit, he needed the principals aprovals first. He told the principal what he had planned, and asked if it was alright to go to such extreme lenghts to 'weed out the weak'

"I like the idea, none of the other teachers around here have that type of initiative. Have at it, just try not to fail the entire class," She said. "At least 6 in each period need to stay, alright?" She asked.

Negi nodded "Sure" he said "Though I'd apreciate a written aproval of this plan, Im pretty sure a lot of the students think that Im just full of hot air, a paper signed by you, might just make them take this a bit more seriously."

"I think you're full of hot air to," She added, pulling out a sheet of paper writing it out and signing the bottom. "Watch it, don't let this blow up in your face," She said, handing him the signed permission.

"I'm actualy not, but if those kids were paying ANY attention at all, they should be able to pass this with a D" he said, taking the paper and leaving the office.
The next day, Negi passed that paper through the class, to eliminate any and all doubt.

"Well shit," Carmen muttered, passing in to the girl next to her. "Does that mean we're actually going to study?" Miau asked. Carmen gave her a look. "If we even thought about studying, would it get done?" She asked. "No," Miau said. "Then why waste the mental effort," She said. "But I don't want to be a dope head," Miau added, commenting on something her father had told her. Carmen had NO idea what the hell she was talking about. "Sometimes you speak Miau, and I have to wonder if your brain is functioning," She said.
Chi again was tired out of her mind. When Negi had said she had to practice until she couldn't move she had done just that, and had again tried to freeze the water until she had become so exshuasted she had fallen asleep where she was. She had to rub her eyes to focus on the paper, and still her brain didn't want to comprehend anything with a lack of sleep. "Where's that coffee when I need it," She muttered.

"Heh." he said, putting a cup of...tea. infront of her "It isin't coffee, but that thing will give you the boost you need" he said, it was basicaly a green leaf tea, only much, much sweeter, meaning it had A LOT of sugar in it.

Chi didn't argue. She took the cup and downed it, then looked at the paper. Being able to actually comprehend what she was reading didn't help at all. She swallowed hard. She didn't like how serious this was turning out to be.

Chi hit her head on the desk. "I'm screwed," she muttered.
