There are many things about this world that I find strange. I wish I could sum them up, but I do not have such a capability. My mind does not posses the means. This is a strange world we live in, as I have said before, Reader, and if you are reading this, I doubt you truly understand the complexity of it. You are likely young, ignorant to the problems about the world which you live in, you read this for entertainment, but I entrust in you Reader, that my thoughts and feelings will one day reach an audience that appreciates the complixity of the situation which I am to reveal to you. You are the hope of my legacy Reader.
I will start at the beginning, as that seems to be approprate. There are things in this world which many a man does not know, things around you which you do not comprehend, but I strive to bring this to sense, Reader, as for your ignorance will not benefit me. From the beginning of time have their been myths of creatures, they go by many a name, Fey, Fairies, Gods, Demons, Angels, Aliens, they are all of these, and yet none. Not all myths are true, yet not all myths are false. There are things out there, things we do not see for what they are. Things that are not you, and are not me, but they are there.
They have been here from the beginning of time, been here longer then us, these beings, which I strive to find a proper name for, do not wish to be known. They hide them selves in our skins. The woman who brings you your coffee, or the man who bags your groceries, may be one of Them.
If they hide so well, Reader, you may ask how I know of these people, these Acients as we may refer to them. I am a caretaker of these great beings. I was born with the ability to see them as they truly are, green skin, scales, feathers and all. I am not alone, there are more, though we do not reach large in numbers, we conviene with them, a society if you may, that takes care of their problems and their needs. Some of us Care takers hold important positions, as if nessisary. One who you will frequently here me speak of, is the prime Minister of England. He is, to my knowledge, the one who holds the most influence amongst the Norms, though we have others who have positions of power, though none of such great influence. The CEO Derinhim industries, a nuclear power plant company, or Dean of Tokyo University, these are a few more, though our greater numbers consit of those such as myself, those who have the freedom to travel, and converse with the Acients, and then report to those who have influence with the Norms to help them. We do meet, as I stated earlier, like a society, though rarely will you have all of us in the same place at once. This is because, dear Reader, there are the friendly acients, as we can assume most of any group are friendly, but also, like all groups, there are those that are radicals, and find our influence annoying and unnesisary, and wish to be rid of us, so that they may take care of the Norms in their own ways.
Our conflict begins in such a time. Our present time. I am of the age of twenty, a female, and perfectly average. My apperance is not memerable, my clothing not eye catching, and my very pressence forgettable, and though this drove me absolutely wild in my youth, with my presen. . . Job I guess you could call it, my inability to be recalled has saved my skin.
I had been on my way to meet with, I guess what could be considered the duke, or Lord of a group of these Ancients. I do not know if their people conforms to such a standard as ours do, but I do know that this particular one has influence on all of the ancients in the greater Jacksonvile area.
Oh! I have forgotten to give you the location of my inhabitence. Jacksonvile Florida. Not exactally known for it’s paranormal activity, outside of the city of Saint Augustine that has had quite a bit of haunting (I will touch later on the truthes behind hauntings), but there are a large group of Ancients that preside in this area.
