Alister to went to sleep, not saying another world to the girl. Despite him looking like a creeper, he still slept like a normal person, he didnt stand there staring at the moon. What a shocker eh?
The next morning, just when the sun started to ride, a bucket filled with water, weighing about 30 pounds, was dropped onto her stomach.

That was quite the wake up. Jo coughed and sat up, promptly spilling the bucket all over her. "God!" She snapped, whipping some of the water that had splashed on her face. "I just can NEVER stay dry!" She snapped to herself. Jo, like all teenagers, was far from a morning person, so getting water dumped on her in the early morning just made today seem like it was going to be a great day.
She looked around finding the source of the dropped bucket. Rubbing her eyes in attempt to make them focous better she yawned, and looked over to Alister. Yup, he was real all right, so the night before wasn't a dream, and she had just woken up in the middle of the forest, after having just run away from home. That would hit harder later, but now she was too tired to think about anything.

"Get up." he said, grabbing her by her arm, pulling her out of the bed, the little hut dissapeared from around them, forming back into the tree it once was. The water going back into the bucket, he sat her down infront of the bucket "Raise at least a hand full of water from this bucket without it exploding or wobbling like crazy." he said, well, rather ordered "You dont get anything to eat untill you do so."

"Huuuuuuuuuuuuuh~" She whined. It was far to early for demanding things. Jo was much too tired to comprehend ANYTHING, none the less do something like that. She stared at the bucket, blinked twice, looked at Alister, blinked twice, then back at the bucket, blinked twice, and repeated, just looking back and forth between him and the bucket. "Wha~" She asked, again another whine. Jo gave up and just flopped onto her back. "Five more minutes," She muttered. Jo was actually still 'asleep' and gave up on trying. She wasn't hungry yet, so no rush.

Alister let out a tired sigh "I'm starting to regret this." he muttered, the water rising from the bucket, and dumping on her, this time it was icey cold, and getting colder by the second. If she didnt get up and start listening to him, he'd just freeze her there and leave. Becouse she was being more trouble than she's worth to him right now.

"WHA!" She shouted, sitting up immediately. "Cold cold cold cold WHAT THE HELL!" She shouted, rubbing her face with her sleeve to wipe it off. "What was that for?" She asked. She barely remembered him having waked over in the first place, and part of her mind still thought that she was laying in bed at home and Jane was having fun with her. She looked at Alister, and slowly everything start to come into focus. She shook here head, her hair whipping the water out like little water bullets. "BAh," She grumbled.

The water jumped off her and went back into the bucket "I Repeat what I said earlier, get at least a handful of water to rise out of that bucket without it exploding or shaking like a scared kitten, or else you'll have to search for you're own food." he said, he was most obviously not a gentle person, he was pushy, demanding, and somewhat unlikable. Meaning hes probably not a good teacher.

"Why am I heeeere~" She groaned, looking at the bucket in front of her. Last night he was so pushy to get her to go with him, and yet now he was just being an ass. What was that about? I thought he was supposed to be teaching me She thought, looking over at the bucket. How was she supposed to do that if she didn't know HOW to do it. Wasn't that her problem in the first place? She'd been trying to do such things for years, how was it any different now?
She sighed and put her hand over the bucket, and in a half ass attempt to prove a point...The water exploded... That was actually completely acidental, but it seemed as though she could never do anything without it exploding. Guess it's a really good thing Dad was a Water demon and not a fire demon," She thought, shaking off the water. Hell she wasn't even trying this time and it just exploded. If she wasn't even trying and it exploded how was she supposed to control it.

And that earned her a whack upside the head "Idiot." he snapped, the bucket of water reforming, along with the water "Do such a thing as put effort into it." he said "And if you so desperatly need advice for a starters trick, something a ten year old could do without asking anyone. Just relax, dont concentrate so much, and make a slow, relaxed rising hand movement." he said "If you want to control the water you have to act like it, be relaxed, and dont strain yourself." he said

"Ouch!" She snapped back, rubbing her head, shooting a glare up at Alister before looking back down at the bucket. For a moment she caught her reflection in it. She stared at it for a long moment, almost as if in trance. Water demons were more in tune with water itself then a mage would ever be. The more powerful of the speice could actually become one with the water, become the entity itself, and more so the controlling it, move as it, which was a much greater feat then it seemed.
"Fluid..." She muttered under her breath, and wave her hand over the bucket, causing the tiniest ripple. She repeated that, but instead lifted her hand in the end, making a curved L shape in the air. No water actually rose from it, but it did pull up in a pun point spot, like it wanted to follow her hand.

Alister stayed silent, watching her work. It wasnt something he hadnt seen before, but she was making progress, the water wasnt exploding in her face. He wasnt about to rush her or disrupt her concentration.

But that little progress was about all she made that day. Either she'd become completely calm, and could only get a droplet to pull at it's base, or she would go frustrated and it would blow up in her face. She couldn't seem to find the middle, and not a single drop had left the bucket that day. By the time the sun was setting Jo flopped onto her back, tired, hungry, and now unable to concentrate as she thought about how worried Jane and John had to be right now.

Alister sighed "What a waste of time..." He muttered, though then walked over to Jo, putting a wooden plate with some roasted fish apples and pears on it "Eat." he said, he had lied about her not getting food if she didnt get that done. It was just a scare tactic that he thought might help. "Pathetic or not, you at least managed to do something, thats good enough for the first day" he said

Jo grumbled, taking the plate. "Thank you," She said anyways, since it was just in all stupid to spite on the hand of a man who just handed you a plate of food, but she was far from happy about the 'Pathetic' and 'waste of time' comments. She grabbed a bit of the food and started eating, waiting for Alister to walk away before she would relax. He didn't exactly seem like the social type, and she was ok with that. She was good around people, but she was perfectly happy being left on her own. Jo gratefully ate the food as she reached back to her bag which was set a little ways away and rummaged in it until she pulled out a book.

"Finish you're food and then gather you're stuff, we're walking through the entire night" he said, he wanted to teach her, but at the same time he wanted to keep his 'dayjob' and since the city nearby was very 'crime free' it was bound to have a few 'side-jobs' for a merc.
