Yukimana, a young Elemental from the country of Nipon, walked down the streets of a fine city in Glucia. She had never been out of her home country before, so it was quite the honor to be here now as a representative of her kind and their culture. She wasn't a true ambassador, though she could've been if she wanted to, but she didn't wish for such restrictions. She preferred to be here more as an observer, someone who wanted to truly see how this other people lived.
Back home when she had been called forth to the palace she was a little worried. Their king, was far from a kind man. He had very strict rules about what the elementals of Nipon. Very restrictive when it came to leaving their country. Not many were aloud to cross the boarder, they couldn't be seen with peoples of other races, and his punishments for things such as theft were just as harsh as murder.
As Yukimana had approached the castle she had a trembling feeling that something horrible was going to happen. The King had no problem using the family of one either. Her brother was a close adviser to the king, and her sister a knight in training. Maybe one of them had made an innocent mess up, and their for she was being punished with them. It would've been very simple for her brother. One wrong word, one single false suggestion and he would've been gone, especially with his fondness of public executions.
When she entered the court she kept her head down as custom, but managed to get a glance at her brother knelt in the spot closest to the wooden curtain the king sat behind. She tried to make eye contact with him, but he sat like a stone as she knelt down before the king and touched her head to the floor boards in a bow.
She had stayed in that position out of respect (and fear) as she listened to his drawn out power speech that she was sure he gave everyone. He spoke of might victories (all of which were under his command) and how great the country of Nipon was. It empowered him and mad each person he spoke to feel as if their lives were minuscule compared to his, which is the effect he was going for. Yukimana tilted her to the side, barely catching sight of her brother. The look on his face was stern, but she ddin't know weather that was a false look or whether something bad was to follow. She suddenly got nervous, until she caught the flicker of a smile cross over his face.
For a long time had the young woman been petitioning to get passage to the country of Glucia. She craved to live in a fashion different from their own. To experience more then just Nipon. Nature was made up of different Elements, as was the world, and one needed to experience all the elements of the world to truly understand it. When the words came from the Kings mouth, saying that she was allowed to visit Glucia to live and understand it's people, in hopes of insisting treaties and such (Yukimana really didn't remember since she was too excited about the initial fact to care about the political reasons).
When she was excused from the court she hugged her brother when he followed her out. She knew that he had something to do with it. He was that voice in the kings ear, telling him what was in his best interest, and he had some how bent him into believing that her passage outside the country was going to yield him profiet.
And now here she was, walking the cobble stone streets of the country, engulfed in the strangeness of the place, of just how different it was compared to her home. Through many political odds and ends she was supposed to meet with a noble family from this city and introduce herself, before she found the place where she was to bee staying, but Yukimana did not rush it. Though she was getting odd looks from the many people, she cared not. Her clothes, hair, and skin may have been different, but she was just extatic to be here.

The family that she needed to meet aperantly foudn her first, not the other way around. "Hello? Miss Yukimana?" A man asked, comming up behind her. He was gigantic, towering at 6'8" feet. A giant compared to her. He had deep blue eyes and long raven black hair tied into a ponytail, he was wearing a fancy suit. He seemed serious, but also smart and polite.
A women was standing next to him, much smaller, standing at 5'8" feet. She bowed politely "Welcome To Glucia Miss, its an honor" She said, smiling kindly. She had long brown hair and brown eyes, she was wearing a sort of elegant dress, not exactly casual but not 'ball room' fancy ether. Her neck and hands were covered in cold and jewels.
They both aperantly knew who she was, and of course they would, these were the nobels Yukimana was told to meet. They were informed that she'd be showing up today. And it really wasnt hard to spot a woman like her in the Glucia city crowd. Some would say she was beautiful, exotic looking. Though most here would just say she's a freak or some random teenager craving for attention.
"I Am Ms.Aids, And this is my husband, Mr.Aids." The husband seemed to clear his throat "Its Aid honey...Aid." He muttered, aperantly the wife was a bit of an air head, but in the loveable way. "Anyway, We were told to give you a place to stay while you remain in our City." The man said "Would you care to follow us to our home?" He asked

Yukimana had lost herself in her thoughts as was walking down the streets. She did that more often then not. She had to, it was part of her way of life, she had to loose herself in her surroundings, but it made her look like a moron or a stupid teenager sometimes. She was young, younger then her brother and sister, and in places outside of Nipon she would be thought juvenile, just a child, where as the people of Nipon she looked of average age, but here it was easy to mistake her for a child.
She stumbled to a stop, turning around and looking at the woman and the man. She took a moment to realize she was staring at them like a stare struck moron. The man was so tall. It was like he could touch the roofs of buildings, and she had never seen hair so thick, and such a color. And the woman was dressed fantastically. She was certainly gorgeous, and Yukimana's eyes flickered over her many pieces of jewelry.
Yukimana bowed in return, finally regaining herself. "It's an honor to be meet Mr. and Mrs. Aid," She said. "I am humbled to be staying with a man and woman as fine as yourselves," She said, standing once she had spoken. She spoke quite formal, as expected in such a meeting. She was trying to be careful, since she was the only person of her kind to be formally met by someone from Glucia, so she had an image to make for them.
Yukimana bowed again, when they mentioned allowing her to stay with them. "Thank you for allowing me to stay with you," She said. She didn't want to give off the idea that she was ungrateful, since that wouldn't end well. She could see it now, she, the first person hung for unintentionally starting a war.

"Come then, this way" The man said, moving, leading the two. The woman aperantly decided to make friends with Yukimana and walking next to her, making iddle chit chat that one would think was about as formal as a drunk man in a ballroom. She sometimes seemed to go off on a bunch of random mumbels when she said something that seemed to remind her of something, and then she'd snap back into reality and go "Oh...wait, what was I saying?" She seemed to be quite the ditz, but she was nice, that was obvious.
Yukimana was lead to a large, fancy mansion. It had a large front yard, that seemed to be practicaly a garden in itself. The house itself seemed like it could fit a hundread families. It was large, extravagant, but oddly enough didnt feel empty. Mostly becouse there were maids and butlers everywhere. Ready to assist you with anything and everything...to a point.

Yukimana gave polite, almost expected responses to the woman's conversations. She nodded when it was appropriate, agreed when she should, and added in her own little comments, since she seemed perfectly capable of carrying on the conversation on her own. She was definitely a nice enough woman, and seemed as though she was genuinely interested in starting a conversation with her, it was just almost laughable how easy she was too keep talking, and her tangents were even more intetesting then the comment itself.
When she saw the house she was blown away. Yukimana came from the prosperous family, but this place was amazing. "You have a wonderful palace," She said. She felt at home the moment she entered the garden, as all elementals did when surrounded by nature. There were very few true elementals left, but those like her were entranced by nature.
When she got inside the home she was equally impressed. "This is quite the large house. Is it just you and your husband who live here Mrs. Aid?" She asked as she felt the need to examine the walls up close, and see just what they were made off.

"Oh, its not a pallace dear, its a mansion, if it were a pallace we'd have towers and a dungeon and lots of handsome guards" The woman said, again going on one of her pointles rants. Though when she asked if they live alone she shook her head "No no noooo, theres lots of people here, like Joe, Missy, Christyna, Lima, Edward, Jackson, Elizabeth" The women went on and on and on. Naming every single one of the maids butlers and gardners that worked and lived here.
The man sighed "Honey...I think she means if we have any other family living here" he said "Eh? but everyones like one big family!" She said, aperantly flaberghasted "I mean blood relashion." He said, the woman blinked "Oh, oh yes, we have a son, Alister" she said "Though he rarely leaves his room, heaven knows what he's up there. I swear I sometimes hear explosions comming from there, I wonder if he's trying to blow us up"

Yukimana blinked at first, thinking they had quite the large family. She figured it had to be a nobility thing. The Royal family was quite large, and she bet even the king couldn't name off all of his relatives off the top of his head, so she was quite impressed this woman could. She wasn't of nobility, so she didn't have a large family. She just had her older sister and her older brother now. She never met any of her parents siblings, so she doesn't know if she had any cousins.
Then Mr. and Mrs. Aids caught her off guard. Those weren't her family members? She thought, looking at the two. She decided to just leave it. "O-oh, well, so you don't see your own son often?" She asked purely out of curiosity, hoping it didn't come off like she was judging them.

"Those other people she named were the maids, butlers and gardeners that work here." The man said, aperantly understanding Yukimana's confusion, and clarifying.
The woman looked at Yukimana and shook her head "Nope, he rarely comes out of his room, and I dont dare invade on his privacy, he's a grown man now, he doesnt need this old bat peeking into his room, just might catch him in a compromising situation like several years ago" She said, aperantly remembering that time. She chuckeled "Ohhh, the look on his face when I flug open the door was priceless...though my eye still hurts, that clay bottle was quite hard."

Yukimana nodded when that last bit was explained to her, and then again found herself completely lost. She stared at the woman, blinking. Wiat...grown man? Compromising situation? clay bottle? what? She thought. Now, that would've been confusing for the normal person, but one must know that children and parents had a very stern relationship in Nipon.
In Nipon parents were supreme until the day they died. Children always did what their parents asked, and even closing the door to your room could be considered inappropriate if not told to. It wasn't that parents didn't love their children, it was just that they had an almost ceremonial relationship amongst each other.
Yukimana reminded herself that she was in a different culture in a different country. "Well I hope I have the chance to meet him, I assume he is a great person just as yourselves," she said, bowing again as she spoke. She was actually curious to see what type of man shut himself in all day. She tried to picture him in her mind...it wasn't pretty.

"Well Im sure-" The woman cut herself off, looking over her shoulder. The door from the kitchen opened, and outcame a man that was 6'3" Also quite tall, probably the second tallest in this place. He had a piece of bread in his mouth and a warm cup of coffee in his hand. Wearing just brown pants and a black shortsleeve, one could see that he was very VERY pale. Though he wasny a slob, from the look of his arms youd swear he was in the army.
"Ah, there's our Son, Alister, Come over here!" The woman waved high with both hands, trying to get his attention. He turned his head and looked at her, then took the bread out his mouth and put it atop the cup, walking over to her. "Yah?" he asked, not quite the 'respectful' way to adress an elder, less alone your parent.

Yukimana caught sight of the man. That was NOT what she had pictured. She had thought slob, or creeper, either crawling or rolling down the stairs, which ever applied. She assumed beady little eyes, maybe even a hunch back. What she saw before her was NOT that. A soft blush graced her cheeks. He's...quite...handsome... She thought. She didn't mind his pale skin, since it was natural of her people, But even the shape of his body or the color of his eye's or even-
She shook her head, realizing she had been staring. She bowed. "I am Yukimana of Nipon. I am honored to meet you," She said, again with the formal greeting. Tried to get that ridiculous red off her cheeks, since she wasn't here for that.

Yumiko wasnt the only one staring. Alister had aperantly was rude too, becouse he was staring at Yukimana when his mother introduced him to her. '...She's...different...' His thoughts werent quite as straight forward, though his cheeks avoided the redness, the fact that he was staring was an obvious signal that he liked her, at least, the way she looked. He was used to girls being tanned, with long golden hair, basicaly covered head to town in diamonds, gold and over-the-top extravagent dresses. This one was pale, had an odd hair color, and her clothes seemed something exotic, if not a bit humble.
He blinked, snapping out of it"Erm...yes...I'm Alister, Nice to meet you too" he said, his greeting not being anywhere near as formal "...aahaaaaa~" Alisters mother quickly glided her way to behind Yukimana, innocently looked up at the cieling, moved her hips to the right, and then quickly jerked them to the left, bumping Yukimana sending her stumbling towards her son.

Yukimana was so absorbed in trying not to stare at him and not look away completely that she didn't realize anything that was going on at around her, and she most definitely didn't notice Mrs. Aid come over. She seemed to have become completely wrapped up in the man she had just been introduced to, whether it be looking over some feature of him, or reminding herself not to do something impolite that might accidentally start a war (Which she was convinced she was going to do some time). Those hopes of being poised and polite where shattered though when the woman knocked into her.
She stumbled forward, fate deciding to have one of the straps on her sandals break at that exact moment, causing her to trip right into Alister. When she realized that she was against him her face heated up "I deeply apologize!" She said with a bit of panic, snapping her hands away from him and quickly stepping back, though again she tripped over that very same sandal that had broken and she fell down, having completely made a fool out of herself.

Alister just blinked, more concerned with almost spilling the coffee than the girl crashing into him. "Its alr-careful!" He sighed when she went down "You're a cluts." he said, putting the coffee cup down on the table next to him and holding out his hand to her to help her up "Your sandals broke, sorry" he said
The mother was just gleefully watching the scene, quite happy. Though the father just looked at her with a tired, annoyed look "Will you ever act your age?" He asked quietly so the two wouldnt hear "Heh?" She said/asked, making her usual 'I dont know waht your talking about =3' face.

Ohh...the worst of moments! She thought to herself. She really wasn't always that clutsy. She was normally very well balanced, almost never fell. She held herself well and had good poise, but it was as if at that very moment everything had been done to make that impossible, and she had, by god, just been forced to look like a fool in front of the family that was graciously opening their doors to her, and it seemed like she were just an air headed stranger.
"Thank you," She said, grasping his hand and pulling herself to her feet. "Hmm..." She crouched down and picked up the sandal. "I'm sure I can fix it," She said I hope Her mind finished. Zori were expensive and costume made...most only owned one pair, which she did, and she had just broken her only pair.
