She blinked and stared at him. "...I've hit myself with a ball before..." She said, trying to attempt to relate. Really though with a young girl who had never experience magic before, even though mention of death wouldn't deter her from the thought of learning it.

Vincent just smiled "Well, I'll make sure to only teach you spells that can only bruise you if you mess up really badly" He said, patting her head "Well, I can teach you a spell right now to check how strong you are." he said, and then placed the canteen on the ground, and walked behind her. He took her wrists and made her hold her hands so they were pointed towards the canteen "Just close your eyes and thing about filling it with water" he said, basicaly he'd see if the canteen would burst, slightly inflate because of too much water, or just stay the same.

She looked at him with confusion but closed her eyes and held out her hands. She did more then think about water, it was her names sake, it's essence ran through her body like blood. She concentrated, heard water rushing in her ears, felt her skin grow damp, began to drift into a state of peacefully solitude. The canteen how ever, suddenly filled in a matter of seconds, water spewing from the top until it was filling too quickly for it to leak out, and it burst, spraying both of them with water, jolting her from her transe.
She jumped opening her eyes and looking at herself, suddenly sopping with water. It seemed like she had raw energy just built up inside her. She wasn't alone. Latly a few of these hairless cats had emerged, with radical amounts of power, many of which were fighting for the eternal gift, and one known one, who had already achieved it.
Koi turned around and looked at the man she had soaked. "Ah! I'm sorry I didn't mean to!" she shouted.

Although he didn't feel her skin grow damp, he certainly saw it as the light from the sun started to shine off her skin 'Intresting...' Once the canteen exploded, he just smiled, letting her go. He laughed, patting her wet head "Don't worry about it" He said, and a little fire started to dance around the both of them, drying them within ten seconds before dissapearing "What you did was actually amazing. Contrary to what you believe, you're very strong"

"But it explodeded. I couldn't control it..." She said. SHe didn't beleive she was strong at all, but then again by what most cats though of as 'strong' she wasn't. She couldn't hold a spear without it falling into the ground, and she cut herself everytime she picked up a knife, but then again by the rest of the worlds standards, she was fairly strong.

"No one can control it from the get go. The first time I tried to control water I ended up falling into a river, and when I tried filling a canteen, It took me a good hour to get it half-full." he said, patting her head "You're very strong, and I'm sure with just a few weeks of teaching you, you'll be able to control your abilities perfectly"

"Really?!" She asked, suddenly excited again. "You said it'd take years!" She shouted, thinking of being able to do magic in just a couple weeks made her excited. After all magic was, well, magic. It was other worldly. It made her strong, and made everyone who had hated her wrong.

"It will take years to learn everything there is about magic...learning a few spells will just take a few weeks, if not a few days. Especialy with your capabilities" he said, and then held out his hand "Well then, shall we be going?" He asked

Koi reached out and grasped his hand, following after him, off to his strange little world. Once there she was wrapped up in it. It took her a while to get used to the big, empty house, and even longer to explore it. She loved the strange flower garden, with the roses that never seemed to wilt or die, even if you picked them. She spent a lot of her free time out there, stepping amongst the flowers.
Though Vincent's world was small, very small, and she needed a large river to practice on, so she'd asked him to take her to one, since she still hadn't learned to enter and leave the world on her own.

Vincent of course obliged. He was getting quite a bit of amusement out of this little girl. Both her failures and her victories were amusing, and honestly, he liked her. She wasn't bratty, and she was a good student. "Will this do?" He asked, standing with her infront of a flowing river "The currents a little strong, so it might be a bit harder to control"

She nodded, then sniffed the air. "Ha! There is a peach tree near by!" She shouted with excitement, completely forgetting the river for a moment and dashing off into the forest for the fruit. Though it seemed right as she left a sudden fire errupted in the forest, yet nothing was ablaze. A burning sensation over came the area. Several others had been talking about this presence and how it was reported right before some of the strongest magic users were found dead, completely drained, as if the life had been sucked out of them, and little Koi had dashed towards it on her own.

"Hey...did you forget why we're here?" He asked, and then sighed "Of course you did..." He muttered, and then started walking after her. Though once he felt the certain presence he quickly ran after Koi "Koi!" He called, quickly catching up to her and grabbing her shoulder "Stop."

She blinked, half way up the peach tree, reaching for the ripe fruit. "Huh? What?" She asked, looking over her shoulder at him, though whatever, or who ever was coming towards them was getting closer. She snatched a fruit from the tree before climbing down back down to Vincent again, though she tripped and the peach bounced out of her hands. She raced after it. It bounced off the food of a man. She grabbed it and stared up at the man. He was massive, at almost seven feet tall. His skin was the color of coal and his eyes were a flaming red. His roves had obvious blood stains on them, and he gave off a sensation that literally would burn Vincent unless he were able to control it, sucking the very life from his body.
Koi seemed unaffected though by the stranger. He looked down at her, eyes fixed on her. He crouched down, handing her the peach that had fallen at his feet. "What is your name?" He asked. Koi stared at him, almost as if stuck in place. "Koi." She answered.

Though before Lor could utter another word, he'd feel something cold against his neck, a sensation he was probably unfamiliar with "Kindly stand up and back away." Vincent said, he was unafected by whatever presence this man was emitting, but he was most certenly aware of it. "Koi, step away." He said, putting his hand on her shoulder, pulling her away. He had heard the rumors, but he thought it was just another scare tactic people though up of. Apperantly, it was true. Go figure.

Lor kept his eyes on the child as she looked at Vincent, confused, but stepped away from the stranger. "What tribe are you from?" He asked, standing up, though he didn't back away from her. "The Okazvic in the east forest," She answered. Though Koi appeared nervous she seemed to have no qualms answering his question. "Are you learning magic?" He asked, cocking a brow at her, he's eyes latched on her, seeming to pay no attention to the man with a sword to his neck. Though the strangeness of that question did make her silent this go around.
